Albany — The Albany State University (ASU) Golden Rams will take on the Fort Valley State University (FVSU) Wildcats on Saturday, January 27, in their Basketball Homecoming game at the Jones Brothers HPER Complex on East Campus.

Tip-off is set for 4 p.m. for the women and 6 p.m. for the men. The University expects the game to sell out and encourages fans to purchase their tickets now as they are selling fast. Be sure to arrive early, as doors will open at 3 p.m. ASU Athletics is asking fans to wear black ASU apparel for the “black-out” game.

“As we gear up for our basketball homecoming against our long-standing rivals, I’m thrilled to experience the electrifying atmosphere of my first one here at Albany State. The rivalry, intensity, and spirit of this game are what college sports are all about. Let’s all embrace the excitement and show our unity by turning the stands into a sea of black — it’s a Black Out game, so wear your black, and let’s make this a homecoming to remember,” said ASU Athletics Director Dr. Kristene Kelly.

The men’s basketball season is currently 7-8, while the women’s basketball is 2-15.

Ticket prices are $25 for ages five and older, and ASU students are free with ASU ID.

Fans should familiarize themselves with the Clear Bag Policy.

Tickets can be purchased at www.asugoldenrams.com.
