Albany State men’s cross country team finishes ninth at Bobcat Invitational
It was the Rams’ first meet of the season

Junior Khaleed Barrett recorded a time of 29:15.4 to finish in 43rd-place and lead Albany State to a ninth-place finish at the Bobcat Invitational on Saturday, which was hosted by Georgia College.
It was the first meet of the season for the Albany State cross country team.
The 8K event featured 13 teams from NCAA Division II, NAIA and junior college ranks and a total of 94 runners. Augusta won the overall meet with a time of 2:13:55. Georgia College (2:18:52), Columbus State (2:18:09), Valdosta State (2:17:49), Young Harris (2:18:28), Morehouse (2:21:17) and Clayton State (2:24:49) finished ahead of ASU in the standings.
Individually for Albany State, sophomore Kamil Jones finished 45th with a time of 29:17.9. Junior Jamorris Hill was right behind Jones, clocking in at 29:24.6
Albany State will return to action on Saturday when it travels to Tallahassee, Fla. to compete in the Bobby Lang Invitational hosted by Florida A&M University. The meet is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m.
