Albany State linebacker Stephan Pierre was named the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conferece’s Defensive Player of the Week on Monday.
The redshirt sophomore from Tallahassee, Fla., led the Golden Rams’ defense to a shutout of Clark Atlanta this past weekend. He made nine solo tackles in the SIAC victory.
