Albany State’s Sydney Melton named SIAC Newcomer of the Week

Albany State volleyball player Sydney Melton was named the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference’s Newcomer of the Week on Tuesday.
Melton, an outside hitter, led the Golden Rams with 19 kills in two SIAC matches last week, including 14 kills in a victory over Fort Valley State.
