Albany Toys for Tots Announces 2026 Golf Tournament

ALBANY, Ga. — The Albany-area Toys for Tots campaign is preparing to tee off for a cause that reaches far beyond the golf course.

The organization will host its 2026 Toys for Tots Golf Tournament on Friday, October 9, 2026, at River Pointe Golf Club, bringing golfers, community supporters and local businesses together to help provide Christmas gifts to children throughout the Albany area and surrounding communities.

The tournament will feature a four-person scramble, with registration beginning at 11 a.m. and lunch included. The shotgun start is scheduled for 1 p.m.

The entry fee is $85 per player, and participants are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to support the Toys for Tots mission.

More Than a Golf Tournament

While the event promises a day of competition and fellowship, organizers say its ultimate purpose is to help ensure local children experience the joy of Christmas.

Toys for Tots works with community partners, businesses, volunteers and donors to collect and distribute new toys to children and families who may otherwise have limited resources during the holiday season.

The Albany campaign has developed into a major community effort, with volunteers and organizations across the area working together to make the holiday season brighter for local children. The campaign was also recognized as the 2025 National Campaign of the Year, highlighting the impact of the Albany community’s support.

“Every toy, every volunteer hour and every donation makes a difference,” organizers emphasize. “This is a community coming together to make Christmas special for children.”

Community Support Makes the Difference

The golf tournament provides another opportunity for individuals, businesses and organizations to become directly involved in the campaign.

Participants can enjoy a day on the course while helping raise awareness and resources for Toys for Tots. Organizers are also encouraging businesses and community members who may not be golfers to support the campaign through toy donations, sponsorships and volunteer opportunities.

The tournament will be held at:

River Pointe Golf Club
801 River Pointe Drive
Albany, GA 31701
(229) 883-4885

Registration begins at 11 a.m., followed by lunch and the 1 p.m. shotgun start.

One Round of Golf. Thousands of Smiles.

For Toys for Tots organizers, the tournament represents more than a day of golf. It is another opportunity for Albany and surrounding communities to demonstrate what can happen when people come together around a common mission: helping make Christmas possible for children in need.
