A World Series championship celebration may have come at a cost for Dallas Keuchel.

The 29-year-old Houston Astros ace has suffered a “minor (left) foot sprain” and is in a walking boot, reportedly the result of an injury he sustained during the team’s World Series title parade last month.

TMZ Sports was first to report Keuchel’s injury. The Astros confirmed the injury to the Houston Chronicle.

Keuchel told TMZ he slipped during the celebration. The Chronicle reports Keuchel is expected to be ready for spring training in the middle of February.

The former American League Cy Young Award winner and two-time All-Star went 14-5 with a 2.90 ERA and 125 strikeouts last season for Houston.

Keuchel, a left-hander, was the Astros’ Game 1 starter against the Los Angeles Dodgers in the World Series opener, a game Houston lost 3-1. He also pitched in the Astros’ 13-12 victory in Game 5, a game widely considered one of the greatest in postseason history.
