Atlanta Falcons make roster moves
The Atlanta Falcons have signed defensive end Keshawn Banks, defensive tackle Devonnsha Maxwell and wide receiver Antwane Wells Jr.

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. – The Atlanta Falcons have signed defensive end Keshawn Banks, defensive tackle Devonnsha Maxwell and wide receiver Antwane Wells Jr. In corresponding moves, the Falcons have released defensive lineman Elijah Garcia, defensive end CJ Nunnally IV and wide receiver Casey Washington.
Banks spent a season with the Orlando Storm (2026) of the UFL where he appeared in 10 games, logging 24 tackles (14 solo), 11 tackles for loss, five sacks, two passes defensed, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. Banks also spent time with the Green Bay Packers, New England Patriots and Arizona Cardinals. The Albuquerque, N.M., native played five seasons at San Diego State where he appeared in 59 games, recording 139 tackles (63 solo), 42 tackles for loss, 13 sacks, four passes defensed, one fumble recovery and one forced fumble.
Maxwell spent two seasons with the DC Defenders of the UFL where he appeared in 24 games, logging 47 tackles (26 solo), 10 tackles for loss and four sacks. The Valdosta, Ga., native also spent time with the Cincinnati Bengals. Prior to his professional career, Maxwell spent five seasons (2018-22) at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where he appeared in 42 games, logging 163 tackles, (92 solo), 45.5 tackles for loss, 28 sacks and four forced fumbles.
Wells Jr. spent a season with the Columbus Aviators (2026) of the UFL where he appeared in nine games, logging 25 receptions for 237 yards and two touchdowns. The Richmond Va., native also spent time with the New York Giants in 2025. Prior to his professional career, Wells appeared in 51 games through five seasons, at James Madison (2020-21), South Carolina (2022-23) and Ole Miss (2024) where recorded 215 receptions for 3,370 yards and 34 touchdowns.
