Atlanta Falcons release Brooks Reed
From Staff Reports
The Atlanta Falcons announced Thursday night that defensive end Brooks Reed has been released.
Reed, signed by the Falcons as a free agent in March, 2015, has played eight NFL seasons.
“Brooks has been a good player and very good teammate over the last four seasons,” Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff said in a team release. “We have a great appreciation for his drive and work ethic as he was a key piece in our defensive line rotation. I have a great deal of respect for him and wish him the best as he moves forward in his career.”
Reed totaled 101 tackles (62 solo), seven sacks, 20 quarterback hits and two forced fumbles in 60 total games with Atlanta. He also played in five postseason games as a Falcon.
In 2018, Reed played all 16 games, including eight starts, tallying 24 tackles, one sack, four QB hits and one forced fumble.
