Atlanta United FC’s Almiron honored following two-goal game

Miguel Almiron’s two goals Saturday in a 4-1 win against the Montreal Impact not only allowed Atlanta United FC to keep pace with New York City FC in the Eastern Conference, they netted Almiron the MLS Performance of the Week on Monday.

Almiron is tied for the MLS lead with six goals this season and his 47 shots are 13 more than the next-closest player.

With the win, Atlanta United improved to 6-1-1, good for 19 points. East-leading New York City FC has 20 points.
