The T-H Marine FLW Bass Fishing League’s Bulldog Division will conduct a tournament Saturday on Lake Eufaula.

According to a news release, up to 400 entrants will compete. The top awards are $8,000 for boaters, $3,000 for co-anglers.

The event, which takes place at Lakepoint Resort State Park in Eufaula, Alabama, is hosted by the Eufaula Barbour County Chamber of Commerce.

“Recent fishing reports indicate bass are being caught all over the lake, shallow and deep,” the release stated. “Competitors in past events held on Lake Eufaula found sizeable bass along main-lake ledges feeding on shad. Carolina- and Texas-rigged soft-plastics and crankbaits will be popular in these areas. Others competitors may be seen working close to the banks with spinnerbaits and vibrating jigs. The winner of this tournament will likely need to bring five bass nearing 23 pounds to the scale.”

The Bass Fishing League conducts 128 tournaments across 24 divisions. The top 45 boaters and co-anglers from each division, along with the five winners of the qualifying events, will advance to one of six regional tournaments. The top six finishers from each regional tournament advance to the BFL All-American, May 31-June 2 at Cross Lake in Shreveport, Louisiana.
