MACON — Covenant Academy scored three quick touchdowns in the first quarter, built a 25-point advantage and coasted to an easy 46-6 victory over Sherwood Christian Friday night.
The Rams sent the Eagles to their third loss of the season and they held Sherwood to 165 yards of total offense.
Sherwood’s only touchdown came when quarterback Blake Shepard hit Ketavion Curry on a 56-yard touchdown pass midway through the second quarter.
Shepard finished with 113 yards passing, while Zachary Davidson led the Eagles with 50 yards. Curry caught three passes for 66 yards.
Sherwood (0-3) will play host to Lanier Christian next Saturday at 2 p.m.
