Led by junior Dorian Usry with two individual state championships, two relay first-place finishes and an individual second-place finish, the Deerfield-Windsor Lady Knights swim team coasted to a second consecutive Georgia Independent Schools Association state championship over the weekend.

Deerfield outpointed runner-up Augusta Preparatory Day School 136-86.

Anna Johnson and Perin Hancock contributed first-place finishes in individual events, while Usry, Johnson, Hancock and Deena Willcox were on both the 200-yard medley relay and 200 freestyle relay state championship teams. Johnson also earned a runner-up finish in the 100 freestyle.

The Deerfield-Windsor boys team placed sixth at the event held at the Georgia Tech pool. The boys and girls teams combined for a runner-up finish.

The Knights are coached by Lisa Bartlett and Morgan Garcia.
