COLQUITT — Deerfield-Windsor dropped an overtime thriller in a GISA-GHSA crossover game with Miller County Friday night.

The teams went to overtime knotted at 21 and attempted a 2-point conversion after tying it at 27. The attempt fell short giving Miller County the victory in a game that is officially deemed a scrimmage.

“We are just glad to open up a relationship with the GHSA,” Deerfield coach Allen Lowe said. “We both will have benefited from this. We are thankful for the opportunity and I hope we can continue this relationship.”

Howell Logan, John Collier Logan and Clarke Sullivan each caught touchdown passes while Cooper Roberts added a one-yard run.

The Knights (1-0) jump back into regular season play next week with an away game against North Florida Christian.
