Deerfield-Windsor tennis teams open season with wins at ACE Charter

The Deerfield-Windsor tennis teams opened the season Thursday with a pair of victories at ACE Charter in Macon.
Both the boys and the girls teams won by a 4-1 margin.
Ellis Holton and Brooks Margeson won at the top two boys singles spots by 6-0, 6-0 scores, and DWS forfeited the No. 3 singles spot. The visitors swept the doubles matches with Ben Hatcher and Boles Middleton winning at No. 1 and Harrison Smith and Davis Nicholson winning at No. 2.
Sophie Singleton, Bella Brim and Jia Patel swept the singles matches for the Deerfield-Windsor girls. DWS’ other point came at No. 1 doubles, where Carlisle Cohen and Ava Hollowell earned a point.
