The Atlanta Falcons acquired safety Sydney Brown from the Philadelphia Eagles in an exchange of draft picks, both teams announced Saturday.

The teams swapped fourth- and sixth-round picks in next month’s draft. The Eagles get picks Nos. 114 and 197 and the Falcons receive Nos. 122 and 215.

Brown, who celebrated his 26th birthday on Saturday, was a third-round selection in the 2023 NFL Draft.

He played in all 17 games last season (three starts) and contributed 34 tackles. The Super Bowl LIX champion has 86 tackles, two interceptions (one returned for a touchdown) and two forced fumbles in 42 games (nine starts).

Brown became expendable when the Eagles re-signed safety Marcus Epps and signed former Pro Bowl safety J.T. Gray to reported one-year deals. The team also announced those moves on Saturday.
