LEESBURG – This is it: Ousmane Kromah’s final selection to the Fantastic Fifteen, marking the end of his remarkable high school career. As he embarks on his senior season at Lee County, Kromah’s impressive high school statistics are hard to overlook. With over 5,800 rushing yards, more than 1,000 receiving yards, and 80 touchdowns accumulated in just three years, Kromah is undeniably one of the most exceptional football players to have come through the program under Head Coach Dean Fabrizio.

Kromah is recognized as the top college running back prospect in Georgia and is rated fifth nationally. He earned a spot on the prestigious AJC Super 11 list and has received scholarship offers from every major football program in the country. He has narrowed his choices down to Auburn, Georgia, Florida State, and Tennessee, though he has yet to make a commitment, despite hints of a potential decision in early August.

Kromah is enthusiastic about the upcoming season with his Lee County team.

“We will have the best offense in the state,” Kromah said. “I’ve been dreaming about this season. Lee County is going to get the very best out of me, and I’m committed to bringing out the best in my teammates.”

The excitement surrounding Lee County’s offense is fueled by an experienced offensive line featuring Jace Molden and Dylan Richardson, a seasoned quarterback in Weston Bryan, and a talented group of receivers.

“All this talent around me should open things up a bit,” Kromah noted. “Defenses will have to adjust.”

During his junior year, Kromah rushed for 1,783 yards on 182 carries, scoring 20 touchdowns. He also caught 31 passes for 522 yards and added nine more touchdowns.

In his summer workouts, Kromah focused on enhancing his speed, becoming a better leader, and being more vocal. “I’m trying to lead by example,” he explained.

“We have a large group of young players, and this tenth-grade group is going to be special. I want to be upfront and vocal because they are eager to learn.”

Any university that secures Kromah will gain more than just a talented running back.

“Ousmane is an outstanding player, but he is also extremely humble and works incredibly hard,” said Lee County Head Coach Dean Fabrizio.

In addition to his football prowess, Kromah maintains a 3.5 GPA and excels academically. He is the son of Elizabeth Teah of Leesburg.

Kromah and the Trojans open Friday night at home against a tough Warner Robins team. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
