MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — The Georgia Firebirds started quickly and didn’t let up en route to a 49-20 victory over the Myrtle Beach Freedom Monday night.

It was the second straight victory for the Firebirds who evened their season record at 2-2. Since the team’s season-opening loss at Columbus, the Georgia Firebirds have outscored their competition 130-94 and improved to 2-1 under new coach Antwon Savage.

The Firebirds scored the first 42 points of the game and led 49-13 at halftime.

The Firebirds are on the road again next week when they travel to face the Florida Tarpons Sunday night at 5:30 p.m.

The Georgia Firebirds return home on April 23 to face the Myrtle Beach Freedom for the first of three straight home games.
