Georgia Football Puts 14 on All-SEC Teams

ATHENS, Ga. – Georgia’s No. 2-ranked football team had 14 selections named to the Coaches’ All-Southeastern Conference Team, according to a league announcement on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs had three First Team selections in senior offensive guard Tate Ratledge, sophomore placekicker Peyton Woodring (kickoff specialist) and graduate snapper Beau Gardner.

Georgia had another six Second Team selections: junior offensive guard Dylan Fairchild, junior center Jared Wilson, junior defensive lineman Mykel Williams, junior outside linebacker Jalon Walker, junior safety Malaki Starks and Woodring (PK).  In addition, the Bulldogs had five Third Team selections in junior running back Trevor Etienne, senior outside linebacker Chaz Chambliss, junior cornerback Daylen Everette, senior safety Dan Jackson and junior punter Brett Thorson.

The SEC’s individual award winners will be announced on Wednesday.  The league’s Freshman All-SEC Team will be announced on Thursday.

Up next, Georgia is preparing for its College Football (CFP) Playoff Quarterfinal at the Allstate Sugar Bowl in New Orleans, La. The game will be on Jan. 1 at 8:45 p.m. ET on ESPN. The Bulldogs will take on the winner of the CFP first-round matchup between Indiana and Notre Dame as they play in South Bend on Dec. 20 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC/ESPN.
