Georgia Southwestern has added Cara Law to the softball coaching staff, the university announced Thursday.

Law previously was a high school head coach, spending three seasons at Saks in Anniston, Alabama.

“I am very excited to be here coaching at Georgia Southwestern and thankful for the opportunity to be a part of Coach (Nicki) Levering’s staff,” Law said in a release.

Law played collegiately as a pitcher at Wallace State-Hanceville, Darton and Lindsey Wilson College.

At Wallace State-Hanceville as a freshman, Law played for a team that finished as runner-up at the NJCAA World Series. As a sophomore at Darton, she was named second-team All-America. At Lindsey Wilson, she was named conference pitcher of the year and was named an NAIA All-American.

Law had a 58-13 career pitching record with 424 strikeouts and a 1.38 ERA.
