Georgia Tech vs. Tennessee is sold out
Four-straight sellouts for the Yellow Jackets for the first time since 1999
THE FLATS – Georgia Tech will play in front of a capacity crowd for the fourth-straight game at Bobby Dodd Stadium at Hyundai Field on Saturday night, as tickets are officially sold out for the Yellow Jackets’ showdown versus No. 18 Tennessee.
Georgia Tech’s four-game sellout streak at 52,113-seat Bobby Dodd Stadium includes last season’s final two games on The Flats against Syracuse and Pitt plus this season’s first two games versus Colorado and Tennessee. The four-game sellout streak is the Yellow Jackets’ longest since they sold out all six home games in 1999, when Bobby Dodd Stadium’s seating capacity was 43,719.
It’s also the first time that Georgia Tech has sold out each of its first two home games of the season since 2002, the final season before Bobby Dodd Stadium’s capacity expanded beyond 50,000 seats in 2003.
Kickoff for the first Georgia Tech-Tennessee matchup on The Flats in 40 years is set for Saturday at 7 p.m. (gates open at 5 p.m.). The game will be televised nationally on ESPN.
