Georgia Women’s Tennis to face Tennessee in Knoxville

ATHENS, Ga. — With no match scheduled on Friday, the No. 8 Georgia women’s tennis team will return to action on the road against No. 22 Tennessee on Sunday, March 24 at 1 p.m. at Barksdale Stadium in Knoxville, Tenn.

The Bulldogs make the trip north donning an 11-3 overall record, riding on a nine-match winning streak while currently sitting atop the Southeastern Conference standings with a 6-0 record as the last remaining undefeated program in conference play.

Georgia leads the all-time series 54-9 against Tennessee while having won each of the last 15 meetings dating back to 2010.

Tennessee is 11-5 on the season while holding a 3-3 record in SEC play, coming off a split weekend at home with a 4-0 win against No. 40 LSU and a 4-3 loss against No. 11 Texas A&M.

The Bulldogs enter Sunday’s matchup with seven players ranked in the ITA’s individual rankings.

Dasha Vidmanova leads the way in the singles rankings at No. 24 followed by Alexandra Vecic (No. 30), Mell Reasco (No. 75), Anastasiia Lopata (No. 80) and Mai Nirundorn (No. 91).

In the doubles rankings, Georgia is represented by two tandems in Vidmanova and Aysegul Mert (No. 16) and Nirundorn with Guilermina Grant (No. 35).
