Georgia wide receiver Michael Chigbu is considering ending his football career due to undisclosed injuries.

Coach Kirby Smart said Thursday that Chigbu “may be thinking about hanging it up, but he has not decided yet.” The senior has missed recent spring practice sessions.

Chigbu didn’t have any catches last season. For his college career, he’s hauled in 13 passes for 116 yards.

If Chigbu is granted a medical disqualification, he would remain on scholarship but not count toward the Bulldogs’ 85-player limit. Safety Rashad Roundtree (concussions) and Sam Madden (undisclosed injury) have also each retired since the end of Georgia’s 2017 campaign.
