GISA PREP BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: Deerfield-Windsor girls hammer Valwood

HAHIRA — The Deerfield-Windsor Lady Knights finished the regular season strong, routing Valwood 65-25 Friday night in Hahira. Deerfield established a lead early and never looked back.

Emilee Foy led the Lady Knights with 22 points. Patsy Cartee added 12 and Lila Lanier added 11. Destiny Reed finished with eight.

Westwood girls 48, Crisp Academy 38

The Westwood girls closed the regular-season on a 25-game winning streak after beating Crisp Academy. The Lady Wildcats will be the top seed in next week’s GISA Region 3-AA Tournament.

Gracie Pollock led the Lady Wildcats with 22 points.

Terrell Academy girls 55, Grace Christian 24

Terrell Academy doubled up on Grace Christian to win its regular-season finale. The Lady Eagles were led by Erin Horne who scored 17 points. She sank five 3-point baskets in the game. Madison Lamb added 11 points.

Terrell finished the regular-season with a 12-10 overall record and 8-4 in GISA Region 3-AA play.

Valwood boys 58, Deerfield-Windsor 51

Valwood used a strong third quarter to grab the lead, then the Valiants held off Deerfield-Windsor in the regular-season finale.

Ethan Merritt led the Knights with 21 points, while Daniel Ramsey added 13.

Crisp Academy boys 71, Westwood 56

Jonte Harris scored 21 points to lead Westwood, but it wasn’t enough as the Wildcats fell to Crisp Academy. Dis’Arrius Robinson added 17, while Derrick Harris, Jr. finished with 11 points.
