THE FISHING LINE: ( * ) – poor; ( * * ) – fair; ( * * * ) – good; ( * * * * ) – excellent.

LAKE SEMINOLE — Bass are fair overall. Largemouths may be taken early and late on spinnerbaits near the grass beds. Carolina-rigs might work on the deep ledges. Crappies are slow during the day, but some positive late-evening reports have come in. hybrids are slow to fair and bream are good where bedding activity is occurring. Catfishing is good over deep sand or gravel bottoms. (half fish)

LAKE WALTER F. GEORGE — Bass fishing is fair to good on the deep river ledges. Fish Carolina-rig worms and deep crankbaits for the best results. Be patient. Consistent bites are coming at different times of the day. Crappies are slow. Try night fishing for some fair crappie action. Hybrids may school occasionally early and late. Otherwise, they are slow. Bream are good, but small overall. Catfish are good on the flats late in the day. (three-quarter fish)

FLINT RIVER — Bass fishing is slow where largemouths are concerned. Shoal bass, however, are reasonably active. Grubs on lead-heads fished in the rocks are recommended. Crappies are very slow and the hybrids have moved south for the most part. Bream are fair on worms and crickets and the flatheads continue to provide some reasonably consistent action. (half fish)

LAKE BLACKSHEAR — Bass fishing is fair overall. Numbers are good early and late in the day. Concentrate on areas where largemouths hold in the shade or fish deep along the creek and river ledges. Few big fish are being taken at present. Crappies are generally slow, but some may be caught at night on moderately deep structure. Stripers may school early and late, but no consistency is reported. Bream are fair in spots but slow overall. Catfishing is fair to good. (half fish)
