ALBANY — Deerfield-Windsor won Thursday’s game in dramatic fashion, with an 8-7 walk-off victory over Terrell Academy in a nonregion game. Jack Kimbrel’s solo homer sent the Knights to a thrilling victory.

It was the first loss of the season for Terrell.

Despite falling down by four runs in the sixth inning, Terrell Academy tried to fight back. The Eagles scored two runs in the failed comeback on a error and a stolen base.

Terrell Academy captured the lead in the first inning when an error scored a run.

The Knights scored three runs in the fourth inning. The big inning was thanks to a single by Steven Williams and a single by Cole Mitchell.

Terrell Academy scored three runs in the sixth inning.

Deerfield-Windsor finished with 10 hits. Moore and Williams each managed two hits to lead Knights.
