Kamran Ward, Stephan Pierre give Albany State sweep of SIAC awards

Albany State teammates Kamran Ward and Stephan Pierre swept the top two Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference weekly awards on Monday.
Ward was named SIAC Offensive Player of the Week, and Pierre was the SIAC Defensive Player of the Week.
Ward, a freshman running back from Oscilla, led the Golden Rams to a 31-3 win over Miles with 13 rushes for 112 yards.
Pierre, a junior from Tallahassee, Fla., earned the SIAC’s defensive honor for the second straight week after making 12 tackles (11 solos, one for loss) against Miles. The ASU defense held Miles to 200 yards of total offense.
