FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The Georgia women’s 4×400-meter relay shattered the school record for bronze medal honors to highlight the second day of the Razorback Invitational Saturday.

Sydney Harris, Aaliyah Butler, Haley Tate and Kimberly Harris passed the baton around for a 3:28.01 to take third in the relay. This topped the Lady Bulldogs’ 3:31.09 from the 2019 NCAA Indoor Championships and pushed the current group of Georgia women into the third spot nationally.

The Lowdown: In the field, Alex Kolesnikoff launched his top effort in the shot put 20.08 meters/65 feet, 10 ½ inches to notch another victory. While Saturday’s mark was not as long as his from last weekend, the national leader in the event had a pair of throws in Fayetteville that would also lead the rest of the country’s competition.

The Lady Bulldogs scattered finishers across the top 14 in the 400m and all finished with fresh times on the school’s all-time top-10 lists. Butler bettered her No. 3 mark (51.34) for silver honors while Kimberly Harris shot to fourth in the school record books with a 52.25 for sixth. Also, Tate took control over the No. 9 spot on UGA’s all-time top-10 list with a 53.78 for 14th.

Charlotte Augenstein kept her momentum going from last weekend’s Vanderbilt Invitational with a 2:07.41 in the 800m on Saturday. This gave her the seventh-best time in school history and 20th at the meet.

Kaila Jackson surged for second in the 60m final with a 7.20 and her teammate and training partner Autumn Wilson had a season best 7.23 for sixth. Both Jackson (7.19) and Wilson (7.28) equaled their seasons bests in the 60m prelims to advance in the prelims.

While Jehlani Gordon did not start in the final, he was the top finisher in the 60m prelims with a 6.65 while Brody Buffington tied the school’s seventh-best finish (6.66) in the prelims and final. Buffington was sixth in the final with his second 6.66 of the meet.

Zack Truitt bumped KC Heron down to eighth on the all-time list as Truitt ran a 4:04.95 for 15th in the mile Invitational.

Bella Witt secured the final qualifying spot in the 60m hurdles with an 8.32. However, she did not finish the final.

What’s Next?: The Bulldog multi-event competitors are scheduled to travel to Albuquerque for the New Mexico Collegiate Classic on Feb. 2-3. There will be a total of six regular season indoor meet weekends before the conference met on Feb. 23-24. This year’s NCAA Championships will be in Boston for the first time in history on March 8-9.
