Lady Cats fall in She’s Got Game Shootout
Jones scores 33, gets scholarship offer

The Westwood Lady Cats lost 71-69 Friday night to Spruce Creek High School from Port Orange, FL in the “She’s Got Game” tournament at McEachern High School in the Atlanta area. The loss drops Westwood to 15-3 on the season and Spruce Creek moved to 10-2. Spruce Creek is currently ranked #7 in Class 9A in Florida.
Westwood was led by senior center Karlie Jones who poured in 33 points and pulled down 15 rebounds. Senior forward Gracie Pollock added 16 points and senior Abby Santos scored 11.
Even with the loss Jones and the Lady Cats got good news. After the game, a representative from Snead State in Boaz, Ala. came and offered Jones a full scholarship to play basketball.
