Lee County stayed undefeated in Region 1-AAAAAA play Tuesday night with an 8-3 victory over Houston County in Warner Robins.
The Trojans (14-7 overall, 4-0 region) dug themselves in an early 2-0 deficit before their offense erupted. Garret Suiter finished 3-for-4 with an RBI, while Brenton Phillips went 2-for-3 with four RBIs. Tyler Simon went 2-for-3 with a double and RBI.
Layne Ward earned the victory, working the final four innings in relief of starter Reid Hanson.
The two teams will meet again Friday in a doubleheader starting at 5 p.m. at Lee County High School.
