BAINBRIDGE — Lee County High School opened its 2017 baseball season with a 5-1 victory at Bainbridge Monday afternoon.

Three pitchers teamed up to shut down Bainbridge. Josh Hatcher earned the victory, working three innings. Gavin Paul worked three innings with three strikeouts and no walks before yielding to Tyler Simon, who pitched a scoreless seventh.

Will Lang went 2 for 2 to lead the offense. Hatcher went 2 for 4 with a homer, a triple and two RBIs, while Lawrence Bryant, Jr. finished 1 for 4 with an RBI.

Lee County will play host to Hardaway in its home opener with a doubleheader on Saturday.
