Lee County boys soccer dominates All-Region 1-AAAAAA Team

Ten Lee County soccer players and head coach Michael Langston earned Region 1-AAAAAA honors, which were announced by region coaches last week.
The announcement came after the Trojans completed a 14-6 season, the school’s first region boys soccer title and the school’s first trip to the Elite Eight in boys soccer.
“This team fought hard in practice and it showed in the games. They proved that hard work and dedication pay off,” said Lee coach Micheal Langston. “I couldn’t be more proud of them.”
Langston was named Coach of the Year for the region and Ethan Eldridge earned Player of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year awards. Eldridge took first-team honors along with forward Gavin Hawkins, midfielder Tyler Shook and defender Ryan Hicks. Three other players earned second-team honors — midfielder Drew Lowery, defender Dylan Hicks and goalkeeper Kameron Kirksey. Players who earned honorable mention spots included Parker Goodin, Kyle Lavender and Jackson Williams.
