Lee County football’s Ousmane Kromah named region “Player of the Year” while 17 other Trojans honored as well

LEESBURG — Lee County running back Ousmane Kromah heads a list of 18 Lee County Trojans who have earned All-Region honors for their contributions during the 2023 football season.
Region coaches selected Kromah as the Region Player of the Year after the junior rushed for 1783 yards, scored 20 rushing touchdowns, and caught 31 passes for 522 yards with nine more touchdowns.
Two-way stand-out Devin Collier, a Georgia Southern commit, was named the region’s “Athlete of the Year.” He rushed for 551 yards with 10 offensive touchdowns and added 523 yards on kick returns. Collier also played a crucial role in the defensive backfield for the 10-3 Trojans.
University of North Carolina commit Leroy Jackson was named “Defensive Lineman of the Year.” Jackson grabbed 57 tackles during the season, including 12.5 sacks, 17 tackles for loss, 17 pressures, and 4.5 safeties or blocked kicks. He also scored two touchdowns.
Named to the first-team region offense were fullback Demari Cantrell, offensive lineman Dylan Richardson, offensive lineman Dillon Long, and kicker Ryker Moye. Second-team offense recognition went to quarterback Weston Bryan, running back Braxton Honer, offensive lineman Angel Fausto, offensive lineman Kyle Greene, and long-snapper Durrah Butler.
Those selected for the first-team defense included defensive lineman Jaydon Cory, linebacker Temirez Williams, linebacker Jase Angry, and defensive back Corey McDowell. Named to the second team defense were defensive backs Tion Garman and Jacori White.
