Lee County girls win Region 2-5A Cross Country title
The Lee County Lady Trojans brought home the Region 2-5A championship Saturday after competing at the sectionals event at Toombs County High School in Lyons. Led by junior Hadiya Ali, the Lady Trojans edged out Veterans in second place and Coffee in third. Kali Nicholson, Olivia Vanderwalt, Harlee Oosterveen, and Gabrielle Vanderwalt finished the scoring for Lee County. Kaylee Gattie and Tamara Jackson also ran.
Veterans won the boy’s championship with Lee County in fourth place.
