Lee County, the top-ranked team in GHSA Class 6A football, had an easy go of things Friday, recording a 57-7 Homecoming win over Luella.

Shaun Kimbrough scored four touchdowns and Tay Mayo and Eric Price each had fumble recoveries for touchdowns as the Trojans improved to 5-0.

The score was 47-7 at halftime.

Mayo’s fumble recovery, a 35-yard scoop-and-score, marked the third game in a row in which he scored. Price’s fumble recovery was a 20-yard scoop-and-score.

The Trojans’ defense had 11 tackles for loss, with Price and Baron Hopson each having three. Lee County’s punt coverage team had a blocked kick and tackled the punter with the ball twice.
