LEESBURG — Abby Hughes struck out eight and walked two en route to a five-inning no-hitter Thursday in a 10-0 Lee County softball victory over Valdosta.
Hughes also had a strong night at the plate, connecting on a three-run, walk-off homer in the fifth inning to trigger the run rule.
Karlee Back and Jenna Hollomon each had two hits for Lee County (5-6, 3-0 GHSA Region 1-6A).
