Lee County still selling Corky Kell tickets

Tickets for Lee County’s football opener Thursday against Mary Persons are still on sale at the school and online.

Tickets are available for $11, cash only, at the school, or $13 online at Lee County’s GoFan website, available at http://gofan.co/app/school/GA13729. Ticket prices rise to $17 at the gate.

The game, scheduled for a 5:15 p.m. kickoff at Five Star Stadium in Macon, is the opener of the Corky Kell Classic, a three-day series of games. Thursday’s doubleheader will conclude with a meeting between Houston County and Jones County.

Unlike last year, when games were televised on the Fox Sports regional networks, there will be no televised coverage available in South Georgia. The games will be webcast, however, on Atlanta TV station WXIA’s website, 11Alive.com, and streamed via Facebook Live on WXIA’s Facebook page.

The Corky Kell Classic moves to Georgia State Stadium, the former Turner Field, for games Friday and Saturday. Colquitt County meets Norcross at 2:45 p.m. on Saturday.
