The college career of Louisville forward Deng Adel is officially over.

The 6-foot-7 Adel announced Monday that he will retain an agent and keep his name in the NBA draft. Deng initially declared for the draft shortly after Louisville’s season concluded.

Adel made his announcement on his Instagram account.

“The past 3 years have been full of surprises but to go through it with the city of Louisville and this great university has been a blessing because it shows how resilient and supporting this city is,” Adel wrote. “I have decided to enter this years NBA draft with an agent and follow my life long dream of becoming a professional. Thank you Louisville!!”

Adel averaged a team-leading 15.0 points last season when the Cardinals went 22-14 and finished their season with a loss to Mississippi State in the NIT quarterfinals.
