The Miami Marlins acquired right-hander starters Andrew Cashner and Colin Rea from the San Diego Padres in a seven-player trade, according to multiple reports Friday.

The Marlins also will get Double-A right-handed reliever Tayron Guerrero from the Padres, who will receive injured reliever Carter Capps, right-hander Jarred Cosart and two of Miami’s top prospects — first baseman Josh Naylor and right-hander Luis Castillo.

The Marlins (55-47) were seeking rotation depth in their push for the postseason. Miami entered Friday tied for the second wild-card spot in the National League.

Cashner, 29, is 4-7 with a 4.76 ERA with 67 strikeouts and 30 walks over 79 1/3 innings in 16 starts this season. He is eligible for free agency after the season.

Rea, 26, is 5-5 with a 4.98 ERA in 19 games (18 starts) with 76 strikeouts and 44 walks over 99 1/3 innings. He isn’t eligible for arbitration until 2019.

Guerrero, 25, has split time this season at Double-A and Triple-A El Paso, with a combined record of 0-3 and a 5.30 ERA over 35 2/3 innings in 32 games.

Capps, 25, is out for the season after undergoing Tommy John surgery in March. He is expected to return next year.

Cosart, 26, is 0-1 with a 5.95 ERA over 19 2/3 innings in four major league starts in 2016.

The 19-year-old Naylor, the Marlins’ first-round draft pick in 2015, is hitting .269 with nine home runs and 54 RBIs at Class A Greensboro.

Castillo, 23, is 7-3 with a 2.25 ERA in 20 games (18 starts) at Class A Jupiter. In 100 innings, he has 84 strikeouts.
