Moffitt fractures legs in motocross accident

NASCAR driver Brett Moffitt is recovering from surgery after fracturing his legs in a motorcycle accident.

“Moffitt is in very good spirits and his doctors expect a full recovery,” GMS Racing posted on Twitter on Monday.

The 27-year-old crashed his motocross bike on Saturday. Rehabilitation time is estimated at six to eight weeks.

Moffitt is a full-time driver in the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series. He was the 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Rookie of the Year and the 2018 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion.

His best finish in the NASCAR Cup Series was an eighth-place showing at Atlanta in 2015.
