Monroe Lady Tornadoes now 9-3 after 89-36 win

THOMASVILLE — The Monroe Lady Tornadoes blew through the Thomasville Hoopfest Holiday tournament 3-0 this week to improve their season record to 9-3. Monroe beat Brooks County 62-39 on Tuesday, defeated Lincoln (of Tallahassee) 70-50 on Wednesday, and then blasted Seminole County 89-36 on Thursday.

In the game Thursday against Seminole County, senior Aaliyah Robinson scored 33 points and pulled down 18 rebounds. Ciarra Lunsford followed with 29 points and 12 rebounds while point guard Saniyah Graham scored 16 points and doled out 13 assists.

Monroe is off now until January 6th when they open region play at home against Thomasville.
