ALBANY – The Monroe Golden Tornadoes swept through two region opponents this weekend, earning decisive victories in all four varsity games. None of the contests were close as the Tornadoes showcased their speed, defense, and depth.

Monroe capped the weekend with a commanding 66-38 win over Bainbridge on Saturday night, following the Lady Nadas’ 55-37 victory. On Friday night, the Tornadoes defeated Peach County 77-52 after the Lady Nadas cruised to a dominant 66-15 win.

Tornadoes Blow Past Bainbridge

Lammond Seadrow set the tone early in Saturday’s boys’ game, sinking two three-pointers to help Monroe build a quick 10-0 lead. Nehemiah Tinch added another three to push the advantage to 13-0 before Bainbridge finally scored.

Monroe’s relentless defense and fast-paced offense allowed Head Coach Michael Hoffpauir to rotate players frequently. The Tornadoes led 40-16 at halftime, with ten players contributing points.
