NC State QB McClendon transfers to Baylor

North Carolina State graduate transfer quarterback Jalan McClendon will play his final season this fall at Baylor, according to reports.
The Bears have been thin at quarterback since Zach Smith’s decision in December to transfer to Tulsa. Sophomore Charlie Brewer and freshman Gerry Bohanon were the only remaining scholarship quarterbacks in the program.
Brewer was 139 of 204 for 1,562 yards with 11 touchdowns and four interceptions in 2017.
The 6-foot-5 McClendon played as a backup over three seasons at North Carolina State. He completed 26 of 47 passes for 262 yards.
McClendon was a scholastic star in Charlotte, N.C., throwing for more than 3,400 yards over his final two seasons.
