New Atlanta Falcons’ Mercedes-Benz Stadium to honor high school football

The Atlanta Falcons’ tribute to high school football isn’t going away with the franchise’s move to a new stadium.
Mercedes-Benz Stadium will feature a wall with a helmet of each Georgia high school, similar to the Georgia Dome’s display from the past.
“Honoring Georgia HS Football at MBS…a wall that will have all Ga HS helmets on the wall–really cool and BIG!!!,” Falcons president and CEO Rich McKay posted in a Tweet this week along with a photo of the new wall.
The display features “HOMEGROWN LEGENDS” with images of prominent Georgia players of the past, as well as an area to post helmets of the reigning state champions of Georgia high school football.
