Michigan State might have received some good karma entering the NCAA Tournament courtesy of former President Barack Obama’s bracket revealed Wednesday.
Obama tweeted his picks along with posting them on the Obama Foundation’s website. After correctly picking North Carolina to win in all last year, Obama has tabbed the Spartans to triumph over top overall seed Virginia in the tournament’s final.
Obama also revealed his women’s bracket, with UConn his expected champion over Mississippi State. He also picked the Huskies last year, but the Bulldogs’ upset of UConn in the Final Four prevented him from going a perfect 2-for-2.
“Just because I have more time to watch games doesn’t mean my picks will be better,” Obama wrote in his tweet.
Comprising Obama’s Final Four on the men’s side are Michigan State, Virginia, Villanova and North Carolina. For the women, he has UConn, Mississippi State, Notre Dame and Louisville.
