Point University sweeps doubleheader from Albany State

ALBANY, Ga. | After falling to Albany State with a ninth-inning rally Friday, Point University swept a double header from the Golden Rams Saturday at West Campus.

Game 1

ASU managed just two hits in the loss as Point starter Harrison Osborn (3-0) pitched eight innings and gave up no runs on two hits.

Johnathan Cirullo and Ernis Reyes recorded the two hits for the hosts.

Malik Barrington (2-2) struck out five and gave up three runs five innings of work.

Game 2

The Golden Rams struggled to find timely hits in the second leg of the twin bill, spreading out five hits over seven innings.

Avery Roth recorded an RBI single in the 4th inning, scoring Travis Ray Jr. who had singled to open the frame.

Chasen Roulhac was 2-for-3 in the game and Kevin Bryant II registered a double.

Michael Reddick (0-2) worked 4.0 innings in the loss, giving up two earned runs on six hits.

Albany State (4-9) is back in action on Tuesday, February 26th, when they host Auburn University-Montgomery. Game time is set for 4:00 pm.
