PREP BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: Terrell Academy boys roll past Georgia Christian

DAWSON — The Terrell Academy boys improved to 3-1 in the Georgia Independent Schools Association Region 3-AA standings with a 79-40 rout of Georgia Christian Friday night.

The Eagles (10-4, 3-1) got 16 points from Jalin Wimberly in the victory. Reese Bell added 13, while freshman Garrett Sloan finished with 12 points.

Terrell will play host to Southland Tuesday night.

Westwood boys 70, Grace Christian 47

Westwood shook off its loss to Terrell Academy Tuesday night with a region victory over Grace Christian in Camilla. Dis’Arrius Robinson led the Wildcats with 28 points, while Jonte Harris added 21.

The Wildcats will play host to Deerfield-Windsor Saturday at 5:30 p.m.

Terrell Academy girls 40, Georgia Christian 22

Erin Horne scored 12 points to lead the Terrell Academy Lady Eagles to a region victory over Georgia Christian.

Westwood girls 65, Grace Christian 19

Five Westwood players finished in double-figure scoring as the Lady Wildcats rolled past Grace Christian. Abby Santos led Westwood with 15 points, while McKenlee Coleman finished with 11.

Karlie Jones, LeeAnn Bentley and Gracie Pollock scored 10 points apiece.

Baker County girls 67, Chattahoochee County 21

Zandasia McGee’s double-double helped Baker County to a Region 1-A victory over Chattahoochee County. McGee finished with 32 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Lady Bears.

Jasmine Gibson finished with 22 points and added 12 rebounds to help Baker win easily.
