CAMILLA — Terrell Academy maintained its grip atop the Georgia Independent Schools Association Region 3-AA standings with a 79-37 victory at Westwood Tuesday night.

The Eagles (16-4 overall, 7-1 region) used 17 points from Zeb Waters to defeat Westwood for the second time this season. Reese Bell finished with 15 points, while Jared Donalson scored 10 points.

Dis’Arrius Robinson led the Wildcats with eight points, while Jonte Harris and John Dean Daniels scored seven points apiece.

Skipstone boys 77, Sherwood 73

Just three days after Sherwood Christian hammered Skipstone in Albany, the Eagles lost the rematch and dropped their first region game of the year.

Stantravious Smith led the Eagles (15-3, 4-1 region) with 34 points. Bailey Benham scored 19, while Sammy Smith added 12.

Westwood girls 61, Terrell Academy 23

Westwood routed Terrell Academy and won its 20th straight game. Gracie Pollock led the Lady Wildcats with 16 points, while McKenlee Coleman finished with 14.

Karlie Jones and Abby Santos finished with nine points each.

Pelham girls 52, Miller County 7

Pelham rolled to another easy victory to remain atop the Region 1-A standings. Takashi Jenkins finished with a game-high 12 points to lead the Lady Hornets. Herald Super 6ers Destiny Thomas and Mahogany Randall scored 10 points each.

The Lady Hornets (17-1) will play at Chattahoochee County Wednesday night in a game that was rescheduled from last weekend.
