Tennessee is bringing in former Alabama offensive lineman Brandon Kennedy as a graduate transfer, according to multiple reports Thursday.

Kennedy chose Tennessee over Auburn. He has two years of eligibility remaining and will enroll in the Vols’ second summer session, according to 247Sports.

Kennedy graduated from Alabama in December, though his transfer was delayed when the Tide put restrictions on his release that blocked him from having contact with other SEC programs. However, the rule allowing such was changed at the SEC spring meetings last month, which paved the way for Kennedy to proceed with his transfer.

Kennedy adds depth to a Tennessee offensive line that sorely needs it. Trey Smith missed spring practice due to a medical issue, and Chance Hall is coming back from a knee injury.
