ALBANY— Both the girls’ and boys’ soccer teams of Sherwood Christian Academy boarded a bus and headed to north to compete for the state soccer championships in the GICAA.

This will be the sixth consecutive year the Lady Eagles of Sherwood Christian have made it to the state finals and the second in a row for the boys. The Lady Eagles head into the finals with a 17-2 overall record, having outscored their opponents 84-8 and beat their region opponents 32-0. It is the seventh straight year the Sherwood girls have taken the region title.

The boys take a 13-2-1 record into the championship game and have outscored opponents 81-11 and have not allowed an opponent to score in the last six games. It is the fifth straight year the boys have won the region.

The girls’ championship game will be Friday night and the boys will play Saturday.
