ALBANY — Boys and girls from across southwest Georgia wrapped up participation in the National Youth Sports Program summer camp Friday at Albany State.
The closing event of the month-long summer camp included performances from camp participants and the presentation of raffle prizes, including bicycles, televisions and basketballs that were donated to the program.
According to Albany’s NYSP website, the program serves more than 500 economically disadvantaged youth. The camp combines sports training, nutritional counseling and health education.
